Installing and Commissioning Modular Plants

Many OSC providers have developed the expertise to manufacture prefabricated, modular systems, yet very few have the skillsets and resources to help customers bridge the gap between the factory and the field.  Epsilon recognized that this gap can represent the single largest source of risk for any OSC project – and has developed a process and team to address it.

With Epsilon, clients can elect to source a turn-key installation – where Epsilon takes full contractual responsibility for design, fabrication/assembly, shipping, installation, and start-up/commissioning of the complex M/E systems we build.

In scenarios where the modular M/E systems represent a significant portion  of the project, Epsilon can contract directly with the owner as the prime installing contractor.  On projects where the modular M/E systems are a smaller portion of a larger project, Epsilon can contract with the prime General Contractor or Construction Manager, acting as a “Super Sub” that orchestrates the activities of multiple specialty contractors and trades (rigging, mechanical, electrical, etc.) under one single contract to provide the turnkey OSC offering.

Epsilon’s installation team consists of internal construction managers and superintendents, along with qualified and vetted 3rd-party sub-contractors.  Our team brings seasoned construction manager expertise to all our job sites – integrating seamlessly with the balance of the on-site team to manage the myriad of issues inherent to on-site construction:

  • Established EMR ratings
  • Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyzes
  • Rigging and Material Management Plans
  • ICRA and ILSM Plans
  • CPM Scheduling and 3-week Look-aheads
  • Toolbox talks and other sub-contractor management tools

This turnkey approach to the delivery of OSC has proven to significantly reduce the risks for any given project – helping to ensure we collectively meet critical project metrics such as schedule and performance.  For more information about Epsilon’s Installation services, get in touch with your Epsilon representative, or contact us via our online form.
