Project Updates: Commissioning Chiller Plants

Epsilon’s Field Operations team recently finished commissioning a series of water-cooled chiller plants across the Mid-Atlantic. By leveraging our in-house expertise in controls and system testing, we ensured these complex facilities exceeded performance expectations. Great work to everyone involved!

Chilled Water Plant Installation

Central Chilled Water Plant Installation Time Lapse

This time-lapse video shows the installation of a central chilled-water plant for an industrial client in the mid-south region of the US, orchestrated by Epsilon’s Field Operations team. The plant shown here represents one phase of 57,000-tons of total chilled-water capacity provided by Epsilon, and was completed in approximately 10 weeks – significantly faster than

Recently Shipped & Installed: Super Skid

Epsilon recently shipped and installed a “Super Skid” prefabricated, modular mechanical system that will provide 2,200 tons of chilled water to support a repeat industrial client’s process expansion.  The system is made up of 5 skids, housing chillers, pumps, chemical treatment, and electrical gear.  The project team chose Off-Site Construction to meet an aggressive schedule

Pre-Shipment Commissioning

We love the smell of CX in the morning!  This double-decker central plant, slated for a healthcare client in the northeast, was powered-up early one morning for pre-shipment commissioning.  This is an example of one of Epsilon’s best practices for ensuring a successful Off-Site Constructed project!

Project Update #2:
Bank of Montreal Trading Floor

From Factory Floor to Restaurant Roof Epsilon recently completed installing a new 4-MW modular power plant at the Bank of Montreal trading floor in downtown Toronto financial district. The project included fitting modules to integrate the structural, architectural and electrical/mechanical systems. The two-story generator package, scheduled to be on-line in 2021, includes diesel powered generators,

Project Update: Automotive Chiller Plant in Coahuila State, Mexico

Our process chilled water system for an automotive plant in Mexico was recently rigged into place, in preparation for start-up and commissioning. Epsilon’s integrated cooling tower mezzanine dunnage – which is supported directly on the structure of the plant below, and is shipped complete with all piping and conduit – greatly accelerates the installation process

Chiller Plant Construction Crosses Two International Boundaries

Epsilon recently began field-installation of a large Off-Site Constructed (OSC) process chilled water system for an automotive plant in Coahuila State, Mexico. This 6,000 ton system (seen here in our final assembly plant in Kingston, Ontario, prior to shipment) is configured to standards developed for this client on prior Epsilon projects; not only is it

Project Update: Bank of Montreal Trading Floor in Downtown Toronto

Can you spot the 4 megawatt back-up power plant? Our project for the Bank of Montreal in the financial district of downtown Toronto is progressing nicely.  After the installation of the glass façade, the plant really blends into the surrounding architecture.  Click here for more information about this project.
